Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp doesn’t believe that “showing beautiful football” is not one of his club’s priorities for the time being.
The Reds succeeded to beat Leicester City after a very rough game yesterday in the King Power stadium. The German coach talked about his goalkeeper Mignolet who saved a penalty as well as his team’s overall performance.
He told SkySports after the game: “Mignolet showed a great performance and saved a penalty. We were about to lose some points but his presence was crucial. This will give him more confidence in the upcoming games and we truly need this factor in the beginning of the season”.
He added: “In this part of the season, we don’t need to show beautiful football but we need to win games. It’s not showtime, we need to be effective!”.
The Reds are actually in the fifth rank with 11 points.
