Ivory Coast guaranteed their presence in the African Cup of Nations’ next round after yesterday’s win against Cameroon (1-0) . The goal came in the 35′ minute and was scored by Saint Etienne’s midfielder , Alain Gradel .
Ivory Coast players knew their next opponents in the quarterfinals . They will play against the same team that eliminated them for the same round in 2010 in Angola : the Algerian national team .
After the game , Ivory Coast’s defender Kolo Toure talked to Canal + channel about his team’s next game . He said : ” The next game against Algeria will be even harder , we will need to demonstrate the same spirit as today against Cameroon ” .
He added : ” Football is my life , I hope that we will finally get this trophy . We know that this will require a lot of work and discipline but we believe we can make it . “
