Former African football legend George Weah has been elected president of Liberia for the country’s first democratic transition for more than 70 years. The African Ballon d’Or winner in 1995 succeeds President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
The Best African footballer of all time, played for the Thunder of Yaoundé (Cameroon), AS Monaco of Arsène Wenger, Paris-Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Chelsea, Manchester City and Olympique de Marseille, and has a pretty good reputation in Liberia.
