In an exclusive interview with “al-ain.com” Juventus‘ Mehdi Benatia talked about his actual injury, his experiences in Europe and his national team’s chances to qualify to the World Cup.
Concerning his multiple injuries, Benatia said: “They’re part of our job.We have to accept that fact and to work hard to deal with it. We don’t choose to be injured but I an promise the fans that I will do my best to help my teammates in the national team”.
About Herve Renard’s current performance with Morocco, Benatia said: “He’s a strict coach and he has a clear vision. People have to believe in him. He has previously won the African Cup of Nations with Cote d’Ivoire and Zambia. I believe that he will be able to do the same with us”.
Benatia also talked about his professional experience with Juventus. He compared it with the previous one in Bayern Munchen and in the Italian league as well: “I’m always trying to do my best with my club and with the national team as well. The fact that I’m not playing regularly ? It’s the coach’s choice. However, the reason could be my multiple injuries lately”.
He added: “I’ve already played in three great European leagues but I always say that the Italian league is the best. Tactically speaking, all the teams are very tough. It’s harder to expect the result of the game”.
Benatia finished his talk by saying: “My next destination ? Actually, I’m fully concentrated with Juventus right now. I’m trying to win all the possible trophies there. It’s too early to talk about the future. When the right time comes, I will see all the available offers”.
