French coach Patrice Carteron is part of a shortlist of 5 coaches tracked by the Ghanaian federation to resume selection of the Black Stars.
French coach Patrice Carteron, coach of Mali between 2012 and 2013 and coach of Dijon from 2009 to 2012, could soon sit on the bench of the Black Stars of Ghana. It is indeed part of a shortlist of 5 names checked by the Ghanaian federation to succeed Israeli Avram Grant, whose contract has not been renewed. Patrice Carteron appears alongside Harry Redknapp, Fabrizio Ravanelli and two Ghanaians, Abdul Razak, African gold ball in 1978, and Kwesi Appiah, who already trained Ghana from 2012 to 2014 and is the favorite for the post. The new coach will have to redress the Black Stars, 3rd out of 4 of their group of qualifiers at the World Cup in Russia. The next meeting of Ghana in his group will take place on August 28, against the Congo.
