Despite his good performance last night against Inter Milan, the Egyptian winger Mohamad Salah was replaced in the second half by AS Roma boss Luciano Spalletti.
The Italian coach explained the reasons behind this decision just after his club’s precious win against Inter (2-1).
In an interview with “Mediaset”, Spalletti said: “It’s a great win that will bring a lot of benefits to the team as a whole. We gained the three points that will offer us more calm and tranquility during the next break. We will also be able to play the upcoming game with more confidence and motivation”.
He added: “Salah’s substitution? He looks like a player in the English Premier League. He’s quick and doesn’t stop moving. However, he’s not good in defending. Against Inter, I needed a player with good defensive skills especially in the last quarter of the game”.
