Steven N’Zonzi agrees to join the Italian side, Juventus, for a reported 40 million Euros which meets his release clause. If the deal goes through, Juventus would probably pay the full amount in a period of 2 -3 years, something which Sevilla are willing to accept.
Steven N’Zonzi had an amazing 2016/17 campaign with Sevilla as he was very instrumental in their spectacular start of the season performances which saw them among the top 3 of the Liga table for a while. Under former coach Jorge Sampaoli, N’Zonzi played constantly and was at the heart of the midfield throughout the season.
It is for this reason that the Serie A Champions are looking to bring him to Turin in a bid to strengthen their squad. The 28-year old had been previously linked with Barca, but the rumors seem to have died down completely.
Sevilla are also looking to replace their star man with one of Juventus rising stars, Mario Lemina who is valued at 20 million Euros. But Sevilla will be second choice as the player is closely linked with a move to Everton, who have already held negotiations with Juventus.
Since the departure of Jorge Sampaoli, Sevilla have been in need of a new coach even though Eduardo Berizzo has been closely linked with the job. Speculations say he has already agreed to join the club and what is pending is his signature.
