The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia were held to a 3-3 draw by the the Panthers of Gabon in a friendly match played on Saturday night in Tunis.

The hosts needed only 3 minutes to break the deadlock through Esperance striker, Taha Yassine Khenissi. Borussia Dortmuns striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, equalised from the penalty spot after a handball from Syam Ben Youssef before Troyes forward, Fabian Camus, restored the lead for Tunisia before the half time.

Bordeaux playmaker, Wahbi Khazri, made it 3-1 with a stunning volley in the 50 th minute but the Tunisians couldn’t maintain their 2-goal-lead as Gabon fought back to get back in the game with a goal through Juventus’ Mario Lemina who scored his first goal in his international debut before Guelor Kanga equalised in the 86th minute.

Gabon will play DR Congo in another friendly on Monday, October 12th.
