Both Arsenal and Juventus are reported to have agreed the terms for the transfer of Wojciech Szczesny, which is set to be around 10.5 million pounds and the shot stopper will likely complete the move before Thursday and join the team for their pre-season tour to the United States.
Wojciech Szczesny has spent his last 2-seasons on loan with Roma, and does not look to return to London after he lost his starting position. And now, there is Petr Cech who is the number one at the club, and this means even if he returns, it will be difficult to secure first place.
Juventus are looking to secure a long-term replacement for their legend, Gianluigi Buffon, who is anticipated to retire in 2018. Many had even expected him to retire at the end of last season after a considerably successful campaign, especially if he had won the Champions League…a trophy which has eluded him all his career.
The Italians giants know just how difficult it will be for anybody to fill in the shoes of their great shot stopper, but if there is anybody capable, Wojciech Szczesny can’t be written off. He has proven throughout the years that he is good enough, and now at 27-years of age, he is quite ready to be at least a try out for Buffon.
